Minx brings fashion to your fingertips and is the latest trend in celebrity nails. Worn by celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, Rihanna, Lady Gaga in her “Just Dance” music video and Beyonce in her ‘Single Ladies’ music video. Minx is taking the fashion and celebrity world by storm.
What is Minx exactly?
Minx is a solid film with an adhesive back that is heat activated. The heat gives Minx the conformability to fit over the compound curves of nails and seals it onto the nail bed. Simply put, it’s a heat activated sticker that allows you to achieve patterns and colours on your nails that is impossible with nail polish or nail art.
How long do Minx last?
It depends on several factors but Minx Pedicures can last up to 4 weeks. They will not chip like nail polish and may only wear slightly at the free edge of the nail.
Are there any chemicals involved in putting Minx Nails on or taking them off?
No. Minx is applied or removed using a heat lamp only. The heat allows them to stretch and when they cool down they shrink slightly and form a water tight seal over the nail.
Will they come off in the shower or bath?
No. The Minx Coverings form a water tight seal over the nail so they shouldn’t come off in hot water.
How do I get them off?
Minx are removed using the Minx Heat Lamp. They can also be removed with a hair dryer at home by heating up the nail and then peeling them off from the edge.

Minx Pedicures
A Minx Pedicure from Polished includes a basic pedicure where we clip, shape and buff the toe nails. We then apply your choice of Minx covering using a heat lamp.
The Minx Pedicure lasts longer than the Minx Manicure at around 4 to 6 weeks. It will not chip like nail polish and looks amazing in a pair of sexy thongs while walking along the beach.
