Double-Dipping is the process of sticking the end of a waxing spatula into the wax pot, after it has been used to apply wax on to a part of the body. This contaminates the wax in the pot for the next client.
Double-Dipping does happen in salons in South Australia.
But we never Double-Dip at Polished Beauty and always use the new end of a wooden stick to dip into the wax.

How long does Waxing take?
Most waxing takes between 15 mins and 30 mins depending on the amount of hair and the size of the area to be waxed. We can advise you how long your appointment will be when you make a booking.
How often should I get a bikini wax or XXX wax?
Usually a bikini wax will last between 3 to 6 weeks. You won't see much hair in the first 2 weeks, but after the 2 week mark you may see a noticeable increase in the rate of growth. Your hair will grow quicker in the warmer months. The time between waxes will increase if you wax regularly.
Does waxing hurt?
Everyone is different. At Polished we use techniques that help to minimise the pain. As you become more accustom to waxing it will be much easier. The best time to have a bikini wax is a week after menstruation as the genital area is the least sensitive at that time. The best thing to do is talk to us as we can guide you through the process - especially if it is your first time.
